Digital Film - Reports

Information is one of the major aspects to getting any business model right, and the Digital Film market is no exception.

As a result, one of the major services that Digital Praxis has ended up offering, although not planned initially as part of the concept behind Digital Praxis, is that of report writing to help business involved in the media industry understand what is the best way to approach their market sector.

Reports are usually generated on a on-off basis, focused on that specific client's requirements, although there are a number of generic reports available.

An example of reports Digital Praxis has generated includes:

D-Cinema report - click for example extract D-Cinema Futures
A report on the future of D-Cinema, written for a global network company looking into the possibilities for their technology to be used for D-Cinema distribution.

An example extract from the document can be seen by clicking the image to the left.

Digital Film (restoration)report Digital Film - Archive & Restoration
A report on the potential market for film restoration, including technical systems available, as well as market potential and business opportunities.

Digital Film (Possible Futures)report Digital Film - Possible Futures
A report for an existing film lab, who were interested in the potential of the Digital Film and Digital Intermediate markets. From the results of this report the company in question contracted a number of further reports (below) and has now embarked on a massive investment in Digital Film and Digital Intermediate systems.

VFX report VFX - Business & Workflow Options<
The second of a package of reports generated for a film lab looking to get into Digital Film. This time looking at the best options for internal VFX systems and workflows, as well as the best business model, which also examined the option for outsourcing of complex VFX work.

Cinevator report Cinevator - Digital Film Recorder
A very specific report on the capabilities and technology behind the Cinevation Cinevator Digital Film Recorder, compared to other film recording systems such as the ArriLaser, Celco and LaserGraphics film recorders.

Vendoe Scope document Vendor Scope document

While the document was written by Digital Praxis, it was sent to the selected vendors on the host company's own headed documents.

The response to this document were assessed in detail, and the final purchase decisions made.

Vendoe Scope Review document Vendor Scope Review document
This document is the review Digital Praxis made of the vendor replies to the 'Vendor Scope' document. From it the client made their final decisions on what systems would be best suited to their needs.
